Once Upon a Place is a hand-bound carousel book structured around four physical panels that utilize the mechanics of a children's pop-up format. The project combines archival family album photographs with images of buildings and environments from the artist's upbringing. Created as a photo-sculptural work, it examines how the built environment influences personal identity, placeness, and a sense of belonging following family displacement.

Future Development: The project is currently expanding into a cohesive multi-part edition. This next phase introduces an accompanying storybook featuring written text dedicated to each panel. Both books will be encased together in a bespoke, hand-crafted box designed to function as an architectural and conceptual extension of the narrative.
